The Waterfall By Gerald R. Hill

It started in the mountain tops
from the melting Winter snow,
filling streams and river beds
with an ever increasing flow.

Until it reaches the cliffs ahead
and tumults over the edge,
hitting every protruding rock
and every crevice and ledge.

Cascading down the mountain side
to a hundred feet below.
A magnificent thundering waterfall,
creating a breathtaking show.

The strength and beauty it displays
is an overwhelming sight.
It can stir a sense of tranquility and peace,
or create a terrible fright.

With all the wonders in nature's realm,
the most beautiful of them all
is the beauty and grandeur you will find
in a spectacular Waterfall.
